Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
In short: Lemora does not collect, store or share any information about you or your files.
Your files
Everything Lemora does to a file, from converting and compressing to OCR, background removal and summaries, happens on your Mac. Lemora has no network access, so it can't send your files, or anything about them, anywhere.
Lemora reads only the files you choose: files you select and send to it, drag onto it, pick in an Open dialog or pass to it from a shortcut. It writes results to new files next to the originals, or to Downloads › Lemora. It never changes or overwrites the originals.
On-device AI
Summaries are written by Apple Intelligence's on-device model, background removal and text recognition use Apple's Vision framework, and transcription uses Apple's on-device speech engine. All of them run on your Mac. Your files and recordings aren't sent to Apple, to us, or to anyone else.
The first time you transcribe, macOS may download its speech model for your language from Apple, just as it does for dictation. That download contains no audio or information about your files.
Purchases
Lemora Pro is bought through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells Lemora only whether Pro is unlocked; we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The count of free actions you've used is kept on your Mac.
Data we collect
None. Lemora has:
- no accounts or sign-in
- no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting of its own
- no advertising or tracking
- no third-party code
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in macOS, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics under its own privacy policy.
Folder permissions
To save results next to your originals, Lemora asks macOS for access to each folder the first time you use it. These permissions stay on your Mac. Settings › Saving lists every folder you've allowed, and you can remove any of them. You can also turn saving next to originals off, and results will then go to Downloads › Lemora.
Settings
Your preferences, such as whether the drag gestures are on, and the short list of recent results in the menu bar are stored locally on your Mac and removed when you delete the app.
Children
Lemora collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If a future version needs network access for a feature, we'll describe it here before it ships.
